SECRETARY OF STATE MAURO TO ADDRESS HAWKEYE BOYS STATE DELEGATION DES MOINES – Secretary of State Michael A. Mauro will help kickoff the American Legion of Iowa’s Boys State program this weekend at Camp Dodge in Johnston. Secretary Mauro will address 700 young men on Sunday afternoon, the opening day of this year’s Boys State. Hawkeye Boys State is part of a nationwide program sponsored by The American Legion which educates high school students on the importance of becoming active in local, county and state government.
